A dashboard design system for a public authority
Guidelines that let non-designers build clear, consistent, accessible dashboards across a government organization.

A government authority had dashboards everywhere and no shared standard for them. Different teams built their own, so the same data looked different — and was harder to read — from one department to the next. The people building them were analysts, not designers.
What I did
I created a dashboard design system they could actually follow: layout and visual hierarchy, a color and contrast standard that meets accessibility guidelines, typography, and clear rules for how to rank and present KPIs. The goal wasn’t to make analysts into designers — it was to give them defaults good enough that a non-designer produces a clear, consistent, readable dashboard by following the guide.
Why it matters to me
Most design value isn’t in the one beautiful artifact — it’s in raising the floor. A good system means every dashboard the organization makes after you leave is a little clearer and a little more trustworthy. That compounding is the point.
