eBay
Senior product designer on eBay's German Enterprise Initiative — the connective tissue between the German business and Product, including eBay Lokal.
At eBay I was the senior product designer on the German Enterprise Initiative — the connective tissue between eBay’s German business unit and the Product teams across the company. Germany is one of eBay’s largest markets, and a lot of value was getting lost in translation between what the local business needed and what the global product roadmap delivered.
What the role actually was
Less “make screens,” more “make the right things happen.” Through constant communication with stakeholders on both sides and an integrative, decisive approach, I surfaced the user problems that mattered most for the German market, prioritized them, and made sure they were understood and solved — not lost between org charts.
One concrete strand was eBay Lokal, local commerce for Germany: helping buyers and sellers transact closer to home. Even inside a marketplace eBay’s size, the design problem stays human-scale — trust between two people, and making the next step obvious.
Deeper detail and visuals are offline (and partly internal) — happy to walk through specifics.
His ability to see the bigger picture, and understand how his design contributes to it, has a real impact on outcomes.
